whenever i try to download a bookmark it always says <server has refused to send the file>
The server has probably deleted the file. They are typically only stored for a few rounds. It will still show up in your bookmarks until you delete it.
i thought that so i tried again but quit after the round ended and went strait to bookmarks, downloaded the latest one and it was still refusing to send
Then they have probably configured something wrong on their end.
You could try their web site and see if there is a link to download it.
I usually look up the server on game-monitor, and manually copy the download directory from the server variables then paste that in a browser. of course you'll need to know the approximate time of demo you want.jamesb wrote:

the download directory?
ya lets take this server for example. we look it up on game-monitor:DanyBoy wrote:

http://www.game-monitor.com/GameServer/ … SHACK.html
and check the server cvars and find the download directory:
bf2_d_dl: http://www.hthclan.com/demos/
copy that url into your internet browser, and you'll see all the demos available for download. it doesnt tell you which maps/round they were from but if you look at the time stamp, you can sort of figure out which one(s) you want to download.
once downloaded, put the demo file in this folder: \My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos
you might have to create the last 'demos' folder.
now that demo will show up in your battlerecorder folder in the bf2 menu
i was hoping to get it one of these
http://www.game-monitor.com/GameServer/ … arena.html
http://www.game-monitor.com/GameServer/ … internode.html
i've tried copying the bf2_d_dl from the sever variable but it says "page cannot be found"
