What you applying for and where?

Any interviews / offers?

Ive gone from not really being bothered, to realising that ive got an interview at University College London on Friday, and one at Imperial College London next Monday... its all kinda snuck up on me. TBH im more interested in the whole student life than the course.

If you havent already, log into the UCAS tracker - i logged on there just now, and saw ive got an offer for St Andrews, after hearing nothing from them.

As you may have guess, im talking to Brits only. I wana know if im gona be seeing any BF2s'ers next year.

Nope, that was years ago. Got a nice offer at Nottingham Trent, then fucked up my physics exam, missed the retake, and derailed my life.

1st Choise:
York - Had interview and they want BBB. Course - Masters in Chemistry with a year in industry (MChem 4 years)

Warwick - Interview on 6th February, they should ask for ABB

Birmingham - Had interview and they want ABB. Course - MSci (Exactly the same as MChem except name)

Leed - Need to book interview, should ask for BBB. Course MChem (smae as York)

Durham - Rejected me as I don't do A level maths. Fuck them.

York has the best location/staff/facilities/course/prospects out of all of them, they usually ask for ABB, but must have liked me in the interview so are asking BBB! Go me!

EDIT: Subjects I do: Chemistry, Biology and History.

Woah! Law courses are hard to get onto as everyone wants to do them for da monies.

My mate had to do an "exam" to get onto the course for Law at Birmingham, Warwick and Nottingham.

Birmingham offered him AAB
Keele - BCC
Warwick - AAB
Nottingham- ABC

Mmmmm LNAT-I had to go to London to take it and it was pretty damn hard. Only certain unis require it though. When it comes down to it, if you have good predicted grades and a nice personal statement the LNAT is not very decisive.

Damn those predicted grades. All of mine were BBB. But I can damn well go for that AAB for the £2000 York are offering any over-achievers.

Ya I got predicted 37 at IB..Pisses me off because it was one point under the required for Oxford. I was also thinking about applying for Durham, pulling some strings and getting an unconditional but I chose to go to university the tough way

Meh, Cambridge/Oxford/Durham can suck a large donky fudgie.

For chemistry their courses aren't as good as many others. You just go their for the prestige, though in History and stuff like that they are good.

I just thinkt heir too snooty for their own good.

Meh...if I get rejected from either of my choices and I fuck up my exams..Durham is my backup I'll give them a call and get a place.

Well;

1st choice: University of East Anglia - Computer Science G400
2nd choice: Lincoln - Computer Science G400
3rd choice: Lincoln - Computer Games Design

Shouldn't be a problem with my predicted 400 points, I'd hope.

Just waiting to hear from them.

Don't worry if you fuck your exams up, Universities are getting more and more desperate for paying students. They might move you to another course, it might also not be a degree (sometimes you get foundation courses where you can add another year onto it so it adds up to a degree) and you might be let in anyway.

I had to do a report on changes in academical structures and services and I found that only the serious retards didn't get in, and even then some did. Its not about prestige or education anymore, its all about the benjamins!

You're predicted 400 points and all you want to do is computer science?

Ya and they have and each grade has an equivalent value

At A2

A=120
B=100
C=80
D=60
E=40

At AS

A=60
B=50
C=40
D=30
E=20

I need 280 to go to swansea so i have a C from AS (40)

Then i need

CCC (240)
BCD
ADD
ABE
ACE

etc.
