Brother used to go Downhill biking, I went once.

I got a Specialized Hardrock Sport:

It was lol when I went, but caught some vids of immense bikers dropping off 12ft drops.

Just went mt biking for the first time last sun, and I'm hooked.  Now I want to get this bike: 2008 Mongoose Otero Super.

Good bike?

I'll tell you right now, France is excellent for outdoor adventures..I've never done what you've got planned but the amount of quality fun activities like rafting, canyoning, aqua rondo, etc..I got a whole album if you want to see it?

EDIT: My point is (I forgot to add that) there is a lot of shit to do so don't miss out

Haha, yeah, such a good sport. I think it strikes the perfect balance between exercise, work, excitement and general adrenaline pumping fun!

It's also good the way you can do it on any level and still have a great time.

Yeah, that bike looks pretty good for someone looking to get into and progress in mtb'ing.

Mongoose having been getting some surprisingly good reviews recently - you get alot of bike for your money.

Yeah, I'd love to!

My parents have booked a holiday going to the same place but skiing! (It's probably the last time I'll go away with them as I'm going to uni soon so they're trying to make it good!)

We'll probably be doing other things then too so it would be nice to have an insight!

Nice, thanks man.  Yeah I want to go more into downhill than all around biking, since I'm kinda lazy.  But the adrenaline rush...I hit this huge rock, vaulted over my handlebars, and landed on my feet running downhill.  Awesome.

Just had a look now, that looks huge fun! haha

I did something like that on a geography trip when I was 16 - gorge walking.  I loved it!
Your version looked:

1) better weather
2) more fun  ZIP LINE!
3) warmer water
