...more specifically, the Hitachi 3D-[1-10] series ghetto blasters. I have a couple of them here, and I'm thinking of doing some modding, since the subs are in a bit bad shape, and such. I've lurked for some time without success.
Preferrably pretty specific info (like amplifier wattage), but if that's unfindable (wich it propably is), it'd be fun with a page showing the different models. I love these things

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
