Seem to be the best guns i dont know if they are different on PC i play on 360 so they could have changed them. Note i have used every assault rifle and got the Golden AK and the MP44 was the worst gun next to G3.

Well it depends on how you play i would say the M14 because i got so good on TDM i could 1 shot everyone in the head it was insane. But i would just test the guns out with silencers, grips, or red dot sights and see how they are i know the M40 is the best sniper rifle and the RPD is the best MG by far. Too hard to name one overall Assault rifle or SMG

Well i guess there is some difference between PC and console since its abit more difficult to aim as quick as the PC. But i use to have a sick M4 with silencer that i just sprayed blindly and got headshots. heres my list tho...
AR - M4/Silencer/RDS, G36C/RDS/Silencer
SMG - AK74/Silencer
Shotgun - XM1014/Grip/RDS
Sniper - M40 (ACOG scope for point blank to 45ft sniping) AKA assault sniping
LMG - RPD/Grip
I always use the same perks (maybe UAV undetectable depends on the ppl)
