What is the deal with these high point servers, or HP, or whatever the hell they have in their name.  I look at some of the people, and they play in these high point servers...i click on the link to game-monitor, and everyone on one team has over 200 points, the top guy almost having 300.

What gives, anybody know?  shouldn't these servers be banned?

I play on them every now and then.

Just large ticket maps with 16 people or so.

No different than having 16-17 people on a 64 man server.

I usually play there when i'm coming close to a time requirement for a badge.

Those rounds last really long, and sometimes i don't think it's worth it, because by the time you finish one round there (~250pts) you could have easily done 2-3 round somwhere else.

edit: i've only seen 2-3 of them on SF and those are the ones i'm talking about

yeah i've gone into a couple before and usually the conversation turns to 'knifes and pistols only no armor or arty" thats when you have to run or possibly get caught in the carnage and have your stats reset.

the ones i play on with SF are normal play, never seen anything regarding that kind of stuff there.

game-monitor.com updates on a semi-real time basis.  you might have caught it in the middle of a round.  at the end, the scores are huge.

is it really a bad thing to play on them,I mean most people play for points dont they? it would seem that would be the place to get them...

The problem is that the points come to you rather slowly(do you really want to spend 2-3 hours in one round?) whereas you could have had less points per round, but get many more rounds in the same amount of time which probably yield more points overall.  You also get to keep them this way as well, while high points server will get your points reset.
