8600 has DX10 support. Other than that they both suck.
minor upgrade. When i played Cod4 on my 7600GS everything was set on low. Upgraded to 8600 it went to medium-high. It's not godly but its good enough for your money.

I have a 7600GT and it owns. The 8600 is shit. Even the 6800GT is better than it.

The improvement will not be quite big. Getting a Radeon HD3850 instead is a good option, they are good cards for not so much money.
