Yeah, but you have Vista bloatware. I only have 32ish without running any extra programs on top of what runs at start up.kylef wrote:
SystemIdleProcess is probably taking up a large chunk of it! Oh, and I have 63 processes running.
wow, i have 73 processes and nothing is happening to me
when your in task manager go to the view menu and select "select columns" check the VM size box, this will show you better which process is hogging the memory. the bar in task manager shows how much total memory, both page file and system memory is being used. chances are not all of the mem being used is system memory.
Lol, I run XP and have 50 processes on my bed computer with 1GB RAM, and 55 on my gaming/drawing/everything-but-bed rig with 2GB.
Surprised that there aren't more running on the gaming rig, since the taskbar is very cluttered indeed.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
