I know alot of you(most of you) bitch about everything Apple does. I am not going to get into that. I would like however to show you this product which has been largely overlooked, but I think was the best product at macworld this yr.

I have been searching for a new printer server, 500+gb NAT, and a N router. For 299 I can get all three. I challenge anyone to try find me a better deal than this. I will gladly take it, but I don't think anyone is going to be able to beat this deal.

Doesn't seem that bad... For once a product that isn't horribly overpriced.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

That is indeed a very nice product of Apple. My 1TB NAS (a DNS-323 with 2x500GB WD drives) cost a bit more, but it is a print server with gigabit ethernet.

It is very good. It's the first product we've got in at work (I currently work for Apple, so we get to play with all the new toys) that I have actually approved of and not absolutely slated whenever my boss is out of earshot.

Good work Apple.

On a slightly unrelated tangent - I fixed a MacBook Air today (already). Logic board had fried itself. I'm not looking forward to fixing the inevitable flood of them, since they are an absolute bitch to service - even worse than the iBooks.

I feel bad for you. How do you even crack open those things?
