[Sad] Going back to Windows...

Well. A few days ago i decided to say fuck windows and go with Linux (Ubuntu).

But. Unable to use Limewire, Photoshop, Trillian, and a few other programs i rely on daily, ive come to the conclusion that Linux isn't for me.

Don't get me wrong, linux is cool. and if i didn't do those things then i would recommend it, but i do. and im used to windows.

Time to go to Black XP (super cool modded version of xp!)

I'm actually thinking of putting Linux on my craptop so I can use it for web browsing without waiting 5 mintues for Windows to boot

Lol, limewire.

And I don't think Linux takes up that much space.

i dual boot and i boot linux by default. i only hop into windows for games and photoshop.

try using wine for your needs, and hit up the ubuntu forums for help with photoshop --ubuntuforums.org.

edit: and ubuntu has bittorrent built in, which is a hell of a lot better than limewire, which is tracked now anyways.

just go find a cedega torrent and game through ubuntu.

So if you cant do all those things with Linux (Ubuntu) what good is it? 99% or all of us use photoshop limewire game ect ect.

Linux has a lot of other powerful tools and advantages. For one, it is pretty much the most stable OS around (depending on the distro, though). Linux is more commonly used by programmers and web developers, because that is what it is mainly geared towards.

A lot of linux systems are used for servers too, because of how much more stable they are, and how much faster they are.
