How big of room are you going to put this in?

I know this isn't a 50", but it's 46".  I've got the 40" version of this TV and I wouldn't trade it for anything the world...I absolutely love it.

(There is some difference between 1080i and 1080p, 1080p being superior.)

Your next step, if possible, is to grab a DVD movie you know really well, choose a scene where there's a lot of movement and visual detail, ie. Classic lobby scene from the Matrix would be alright, watch it a few times at home, then take it in to best buy and see if they'll play it for you on each screen. Watch carefully and see what you think looks best, remember that you'll be able to fine tune a little bit more once you get home for your conditions.
