I had a weird experience yesterday with the TV, i clipped the tail of a heli, actually heard the mo-fo clip it and ping off. Sorry for hijacking. I'd love to fly with a decent gunner pilot, pub servers seemed to be plagued with terrible heli pilots/gunners.

I've had missiles hit the cockpit and kill the pilot but the chopper lives. Or they blow up about a foot from the chopper, close enough to give them splash damage and make them smoke, but also close enough that they can figure out where you are. Good times.
seems like there are two kinds of pilots and gunners... those that "get it," and the complete fucking retards. As long as a dude shoots at targets when im flying, and points me in the general direction of threats when im gunning, its usually fine. but yes, in pubs you most often end up with the lower half of quality. thats why you e-stalk your friends on bf2s so you don't get in those situations often. or just solo.Ec0li wrote:

The only issues I have with apcs are when they are in the water. For some reason that effects something so it's hard to get the kill on them.
Recently I had a guy get in the chopper with me, and he didn't know you could aim the missile. I must have just gotten a bj, because I was in a good mood and let him gun. But for the longest time he just didn't understand me when I was telling him how to aim. He understood by this point you can aim it, but I was like "just point and click" he just couldn't figure it out. "What do you mean?" "Aim your mouse and click where you want to shoot, and click as many times as you need." "huh?" And it's not like he was a kid or anything. That's was a one in million day, any other day I'd have crashed the chopper into the ground and gotten a jeep and capped flags.

Ha! Played with Ellips and ond9 today. ond9 was good, in a chopper, soloing. Ellips was just shit. Raped the bollocks off him and he called it baseraping. In the middle of the sea (Dalian). He was pretty good in the J-10 though.

its not always about rolling and flipping. the most effective way to dodge tv's is a sideways slide, with a tailwhip right at the end. rolling makes you easier to hit imo...Pea....Tear.....Griffen wrote:

I flew for Straz once, he was a decent gunner considering he was drunk. Trigger is a very good gunner, but he misses apcs like crazy. Seal21 is a great gunner, his shots just come out of nowhere. RJ and Espion are my two most favorite pilots, it's generally domination when we get the chopper. Velez is excellent at gunning and piloting. Always do pretty well when I team up with steelie, regardless of who pilots.
