I have just come home from a 4 h. long open book exam in advanced organic chemistry...and love and behold, I think I have failed it.

I have never ever failed any exam in my life including the 32 exams i have taken in the last 4 years at the university, but after looking through the solution for this exam I am pretty sure I have failed it. If I am really really lucky then I may get a 2 (the lowest passing grade in Denmark), but I don't think that i will....I will get the answer in about a month or so!!

I have no idea what the hell went wrong, I just fucked up i guess. Anyway if I have failed it, the reexamination is in august, sigh.

To show what kinda of course I failed I will give an example from the exam:

One of four problems:

Construct molecule A from 3-carbon skeletons. Show the mechanism for C to D

And explain how to make B into C.

Lowest probably a D at GCSE citizenship (still a pass)

I took Maths and Physics modules this month for AS and pretty confident of 90%+ results on both.

meh failure is only said when you quit. i have failed chemistry (in college) two times but more determined to pass on the third try and I did.

I failed my Managerial Economics module last year so I'm resitting it this year, (had my semester 1 exam yesterday, think it went ok).

It means I'm ending up at uni for an extra year, but what the hell, it aint the end of the world if you do fail it.

Dude it is advanced organic chemistry at a master level, and the questions is (of course i guess) no where in the curriculum (which is 1500 pages) ...it ain't easy you know....but yeah I normally do quit well in exam like this.

wow, nice education. My sister had a cirriculum like that once and damn she hated it-lol

if you fail then you will nail it at august. I think its quite easy to fuck up at such an advanced level.

I hope so....but I have enough self-awareness to know I will never ace it....But if I fail I will of course try to do a lot better

Everyone in my AS law class is getting E's we just had a 60% exam, most of us will be retaking it due to crappy scores, we get our results back in march, Its the same in my biology too.
