i just bought a Q6600 for newegg.com and i received a B3. I am just wonder whats the difference between them.
If your not overclocking, then nothing. But if you are planning to OC, then you wanted the GO.
As far as I know the GO is cooler and overclocks easier than the B3.

Is B3/G0 the stepping or the revision?
i am planning to overclock a bit so i can get a better fps in fsx. I plan to clock to about 3.3 ghz. will i have any problems with the b3?
What cooling are you using?
G0 are more power efficient, which results in lower temps at higher clock speeds. Basically it'll OC about 200-400Mhz less than a G0, still OCs like a beast though, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I have a G0 E6850.
Its nice.

It just requires more voltage, and thus more heat. You can still OC the same amount as long as heat doesn't become an issue.

Me 3, but I had to bump my VCore to 1.4V to run stable @ 3.6, still though, the CPU fan doesn't even turn on!xGj wrote:
