I've never spent much time in any of the vehicles in BF2. Maybe the transport, if no one was around to use it, but that's about it. It just never seemed fair (or fun) to drive around in an APC or tank and blast the shit out of helpless infantry. So I've been a ground-pounder since day one. I've logged 280+ hours and spent maybe 8 in vehicles. Of course I got pwned like shit at the start but now it's not that bad. Went from a .58 K/D to a 1.08, and I'm probably the only person in the world with a higher infantry K/D (1.17) than vehicle K/D (a pathetic 0.7). Considering how much time I spend as a helpless medic, I think that's not bad.
I guess if anything, I take pride in my weapon rankings. I think I'm something like 900th in the world with assault rifles and about 750th with pistols...so I play infantry a crapload.

I always try to be honest and play fair. 9/10 Teamkills are forgiven if I have the option and I rarely ever use the jets/ Chopper (Though I am partial to the BlackHawk's M134s) Plus if you ever need a human sheild in the fray, I'm there.

You can tell I'm honest, because my stats suck and I haven't managed to get the damned basic knife or explosives badges yet. I started a second account, played half a round with it, and decided against doing anything with it.
What is GREAT about using the same account since day one is watching my player growth. I've gone from a really horrid K-D to .84... which still sucks, but it's getting better every day. I finally got my W:L to better than 1.0, which, to me, was as exciting as getting a ribbon. And when my K-D gets over 1.0, it will be just as nice.
Couldn't agree more. I too have watched my unhealthy obsession of this great game grow. With this site to check in on, it is gotten even unhealthier.
On the 'whoring' topic, I tend to go through fazes where I enjoy playing with a kit/vehicle. (Unfortunately the medic & tank was a long faze!)
Only account and do do [hrhr] too many accidental teamkills, but mainly cause I'm not accurate enough.
If I'm being honest!
I had an account by the name of AnD-MasterMatt when I first started. I stopped using it because the AnD clan pretty much dissapeared off the globe and they were difficult to coordinate team play with. So then I started my current account, which is LG-MindBullets. I occasionally use the AnD-MasterMatt account when I want to test something or to let my brothers play on when they come to visit and play with me. My stats are pretty close between both accounts though and I was already what I would consider an above average player when I started because I played Desert Combat a lot with my friends at work.usmarine2005 wrote:
Why do people change accounts anyway?
I'm honest (1st and only account), but I'm not too good as per my stats.
This being my one and ONLY account, keeping it that way. The deaths I get, whether by being team killed or some freak of in game nature that occurs, all here to stay and the kills, hard earned and endeavored through sweat, blood and tears (metaphorically, ALOT of tears LOL)
this is my first account, istarted another one at 35000 points to get to a 150 points thinking i was gonna grt some unlocks, but thats at 500 (wanted to try the engy unlocks)i agree i used to have a 0.8 kdr now its at 1.65, im hoping to get too 2
