Photobucket has resized the original high quality 3008x2000 photos to a puny 1024x768. If anyone likes, I'll upload all the photos to Rapidshare for full quality

Camera: Nikon D50x, 12-24mm

There is an old, abandoned World War army listening base just a mile or two away from where I live, Northern Ireland. My brother, boasting most excellent photography skills too now, decided to head up again and take some pictures of it! It's pretty amazing in my opinion. He took quite a few but I think that these are the best - take a look for yourself.

I have no idea what the last photo is about. Anyone any ideas?

They are nothing Wait until you've seen a few other pictures he has taken of inside abandoned factories. I swear, it's like walking through Half-Life 2 in first person.

last photo? no freaking idea. I know alot about history war orientated but I have no sensible guess of what that might've been there for. Probably part of the thingy photographed above it.

I thought that too. It's something in the way the light appears, and how the color looks. It also seems like there's nothing (no dust, random particles) in the air.

It might also be the side effect of the photobucket re-size.

Some of the pictures have extremely uniform shading, with distinct features that stand out sharp while still appearing fuzzy around the edges. They don't really look "weathered" like you'd expect a normal image to look, kinda like they were touched up to look like that deliberately.

And yes, it does look a lot like HL2. And it looks like a render because of the resize, and the funky lens effects.

Empty, abandoned spaces like that are always creepy as hell.
