DONT install the patch unless you really want to use the new sniper rifle & get your new rank (if applicable).
I installed it & yes the game ran fine & actually better. One thing I noticed was that for example when you revive as a medic its a LOT quicker. The game did seem to run a lot smoother too. Interesting to see players with 2 silver bars on the servers too. Lying there dead I saw 2 UAV's hovering overhead (dunno if I could be bothered trying to shoot them down).
Sniper rifle..hmm..well it sounds great (you hear a real 'crack' when you fire) but the downside is theres NO Aussie servers yet. I had to play on a couple of US servers with a ping of 200+
Im in the process of reinstalling the game pending the official patch & the servers updating (not much fun when I could be playing).
Personally I would wait.
