What is cas latency?

The OCZ has a cas latency of 4 and Gskill has a cas of 5? Whats the difference?

the lower the cas latency the better, it's a measure of the memory timings...

True, true.. Although I've got G. Skill myself at the moment, great timings and great speed. And did I mention cheap? $115 for 4GB (2x2)
