I've tried Super and it's not letting me do it.  Does anyone know any other free/unwatermarked converters that will convert divx files to mp4s?

Well, I don't know of any that are free AND not watermarked. Anyway, if you ever decide to spend a bit on one, get the Cucusoft iPod converter. I use it and it works really well.

If you're just trying to re-encode then go for vDub

well, if i were to convert any video files to mp4, it would be to put it on my ipod.  assuming you are doing this, try googleing videora ipod converter.  then let it work its magic, and enjoy.

*Edit* I haven ever tested it with divx, but feel free to try it.  i know it works with avi's, wmvs, etc.

Videora is very good.  I use it as well, on Easy mode.

I use Handbrake for movies copied with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders though.

If it is a typical divx file and not just for use on an iPod then all you need to do is demultiplex the streams (from the avi container) and then multiplex them back into an MP4 container.  If done right you don't even need to re-encode your video/audio and it should only take a few minutes per CD length movie file.  There are ways to do it manually but there is a tool that can do it for you!

Download MeGUI and read the forum post here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=96032

Rename your .DIVX file to .AVI and go through the process in the forum above.  You may need some additional 100% free tools (AviSynth is a good one to have and learn about) and the Doom9 download page with those tools is here: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software2.htm

It is a little more hands on as you're using primarily totally free open source software but you certainly learn a lot about video doing it and if digital video is something you like to hobby in I recommend checking it out.
