Its a pretty interesting video.  The same thing happened early in America's history; the white immigrants from England who had settled there systematically wiped out the indigenous native Indians to found modern-day America.  This kind of thing is not exactly uncommon throughout history.

It's really wierd seeing these blue eyed afghan children, scandinavian-looking. Good video indeed. I'll have to learn about central asian history more, since I honestly know just about nothing.

I wonder to one extent, what does the video hope to accomplish besides time travel so those events in question could be undone.

Heh, the posters username means racist in swedish if you remove one s. "The raccist" i guess would be a viable translation to english for you (including the way the guy misspelt/avoided bans).

EDIT: After reading some of the comments of "Rassisten" and "JarusYarus" it's pretty clear to me both of them are racist, both arguing over the supremacy of different ethnic groups. Racist idiots arguing over the net, if only someone would post that running in the special olympics picture...

EDIT2: Heck, almost all the people I've seen discussing that video in the comments are racist

That video is racist anyway. It was the Arabs who really destroyed it all. Semites (yes Arabs fall under the Semite category) if you want to talk about race, but I don't want to.

What happened to the original Persian Indo-European scripts that looked nothing like Arabic and wasn't backwards like Arabic and Hebrew (Semite Afro-Asiatic Languages). You guys got beat by the Arabs and they took it away and made your language look and sound similar to Arabic. You know it was Islam that was the true destroyer of most of Asia.

Islam did it's part, but the people in central asia weren't ruined because of that solely, you could say the same over christendom as on how it spread through europe in the medieval times. It destroyed basically everything looked at as witchcraft, wizardry, and killed everyone that disagreed with the bible's teachings. Islam did the same over there, however eastern scholars were oftenly more advanced and knowledgeable than the europeans. (altough, we were better at warfare, and other stuff.) The mongols destroyed alot, really alot. But to say they were ineducated dumb nutters isn't entirely true.

The mongols were superior horse riders, and incredibly good tacticians ; genghis khan's (and his children, relatives etc) dream was to conquer the world not really to kill everyone, he usually only did this when the people disagreed with him. This way he was able to maintain the lands he conquered and spread without having to leave alot of troops behind. Basically he subdued the population pretty horrendously in order to get his wish fullfilled.

The way they look is indeed great to see, still looks like to some extent the greek influence that has been there thousands of years before has done it's part. (The video is very biased and pretty racist, but back then mongols were pretty terrifying.
