Whoa, I just got a BIG hit of it. I have no idea what is was from, I was searching for free video editing software and bam, I'd been here before. Then I thought about being in the back of a car looking back onto a motorway, then that reminded me of a late level in COD4.

Why do we get De Ja Vu? I remember reading an explanation somewhere..
Also, post your experiences of it.

lol, has happened to me before. I was in a hotel once and I was walking down a hallway for the first time and I was like "Oh shit, have I been here before" It just looked so familiar

its something about one brain-half is slower than the other making you think that you seen something before.

Deja vu is when your brain makes a wrong connection, and loops back around again, e.g. a thought is moving down a nerver of w/e is in your brain and it loops back onto itself.

Some people say it's a rift in time.

Others that you are remembering the future.

A few say it's just your mind recognizing similar objects, places, conditions, and trying to peace the information together.

But me... I say that it's just you thinking like a normal decent human being.

Like Surgeons said, it's got to do with your mind seeing something before your brain registers it. Or something. I used to remember the proper definition but I forgot

Normally the information collected by your eyes reach your brain simultaniously. But once in a while info from eye 1 travels longer than info from eye 2.
Your brain now thinks "Wow, I´ve seen this before" and actually you did, just a splitsecond earlier.
That, in very easy words, causes Dejavus.
