Help With DVD-ROM Drive.

ThaReaper: Banned; +410|6949

Ok, so I've had this drive for about 3 months. I've never had any problems with it until now. My computer isn't reading it right. Here's what it looks like.

When I put a disc in, the drive doesn't read it.

It is an LG Internal Super Multi DVD Rewriter 20x

I've had luck trying this before:

Open up the computer and unplug all the connections for the drive, then hook them all back up.

Start the computer, right click on 'My Computer' go to properties, 'hardware' tab, then open up the
menu for CD/DVD drives. Right click on the one thats giving you a problem, click 'uninstall'.

Restart and let windows detect the drive on its own.

Hopefully, something was fixed.

Have you tried swapping it into another computer?

My DVD drive did this recently. Cause? It's dead.

Buy a new one.
