I've been thinking about getting Xbox Live. I have decent internet and have a wireless router. I got this 8 foot cable with my xbox, but it is about 70 feet from my computer with the router to my Xbox. Can the Xbox use any type of ethernet cable or do I need a special one? Also, where can I find 100 foot cables, BestBuy only has 50..
Any type of ethernet cable, IIRC.
Also, if it's that much of a gap, you should just get the wireless adapter. I have it and it works perfectly. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.

How would I get that to work?Poseidon wrote:

Pretty much what he said, though. On the back there's a USB port, and there's two slots on your Xbox specifically designed so it will hold it against the back. It almost automatically detects the nearest connection.Winston_Churchill wrote:

Hold on, I'll show you a picture of mine.
Edit: Here we go. Don't mind my small collection of Pepsi cans.

Do you actually leave your 360 on its side like that?Poseidon wrote:

It looks more natural this way.
Just like a computer? Just picks it up and you connect?Poseidon wrote:

Pretty much, yeah. If not, all you have to do is go to your network options in settings, and pick "find connection" or something like that.Klinka-Klinko wrote:

I would probably knock it over if it was that way and the disc would get scratched... or my dog or cat would do it for mePoseidon wrote:
