so i bought a new phone today, the LG shine, because i've owned my shitty razor for two years and its time for an upgrade thing, where they give you a phone for like 200 dollars less.
its the first time i've bought a phone that can be expanded via microSD, so i went to office depot and picked up a 2GB MSD card for 30 bucks. ATT wanted 40 goddamned dollars for 1/4th that. fuck, its one thing to be a rip off, but thats over 100% more!
so i get home, and i open the box, and dammit, it doesn't come with headphones or an adaptor (rather than use a regular headphone jack like a sensible company, they use something fucking else), you have to buy that separately and the damn store didn't even tell me! i'll chalk that one up to shitty employees, but still.
oh well, i figure. i'll go back and pick one up. well, i ended up going to three different stores. a satellite store nearby didn't have it, the store i bought the phone from was out (why the hell wouldn't you stock equal numbers?), and finally the third store has it.
i'd like to take a moment to interject something here.
i own a 16 in one card reader that i use for CF cards for my camera, because its faster and easier. the MSD card i bought has a SD adaptor, which my card reader reads, so i don't need a data cable or anything to drop files onto the phone's memory.
back on topic.
40 bucks for the "premium music pack." if i'm paying 40 dollars for anything it damn well better be good.

a fucking usb cord and a goddamned set of headphones.
a usb cord that i don't need, ok, at least i got the headphones, right?
well, i put some music on the fucker and plug the headphones in, and guess what?
the sound quality of these headphones was so god awful that in 30 seconds of listening it actually made want to vomit. i didn't even know that was possible.
needless to say, i'm getting my 40 dollars back. i'd take the phone back too, but the LG website sells an adaptor for 3.5mm headphones, so i bought that instead. it'll be here on thursday, when i'll get to listen to my music with sennheisser goodness.
fuck, i still feel sick to my stomach and my head hurts, and i took the headphones out 30 minutes ago.
