What does it take to get to 1st Sgt. in 1.2?

Well, i'm currently First Sergeant, still at 32k, will let you know if I hit Sergeant Major anytime soon. Guessing it may be 35k now? There's a very large gap between 1st Sergeant and Sergeant Major if there are no changes.

On one of my profiles, i am a gunnery sergeant and don't have the knife badge, yet it now shows my next rank as 1st sergeant, wheras before it would have shown aster sergeant. This leads me to believe some f the badge requiremetns have changed for 1st sergeant. Maybe EA responded to all the moaning by people who can't get their knife and pistol badges?

I feel your pain if that's the case. It took me 4 rounds to get mine, with nothing but the knife out. If they dropped that for the requirement to 1st SGT it sucks, because almost everyone will be a 1st SGT then.

Supposedly you have to have the expert knife badge for major general or something like that. After the hell I went through to get my knife badge, I don't think I'm going to even try for the expert knife badge.

Indeed, I got a bug I think. I waited till the patch to get to 20000 points so that if the unlocks are not given back, at least I could choose the new weapons when I rank up.

So... I was at 19857 points before the 1.2 patch. I install the new patch from EA, log to some ranked Karkand servers, play a little during the night and passed the 20000 bar.

But.. no rank up????? My updated Bf2s page (more than 8 hours after my last game) says:

Next Rank: First Sergeant
100%
Score: 20,125 of 20,000. At your historical rate, you should earn 0 in 0 days (or 00:00:00 straight).

WTF. Is there a lag in the rank awarding system? Anyone else has this problem?
