If the Supplier does not receive an order confirmation within 14 days of informing you of the error, the order will be cancelled automatically. If you cancel, the Supplier will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.

Dare you to try and get one !!

Why? It clearly states in the Terms and Conditions that if that kind of thing happens you get your money back.

Please do, in fact they didn't send me or my friends an email or phone us, our accounts page on the site just says 'order cancelled and refund issued', does that mean maybe my bank had already cleared the transaction? hmm maybe I should ring and ask ^^

Some idiot always spills the beans (either on a major site or on the company's damn forums) and they end up catching it.

I'm fairly certain this stuff is automated for the most part. If someone caught it at the low price and put in an order, it'd likely charge the person's card and then the guys at the warehouse would put the stuff in for shipping.

It's different here though because they need to put together the PC, its more than likely a receipt or invoice would be printed off saying how much they've paid for it.

Read it? I also posted it but "there" Terms and Conditions I doubt would stand up to law.

Why do you think they have Terms and Conditions.....they wouldn't put them up for shits and giggles.

Terms and Conditions are 'the law' for a company.

That was quite dumb, tbh.

They put T&C there to protect themselves when things like this happen. It is why you have to tick the little "I have read and understand the Terms and Conditions" before you buy it. You're supposed to actually read them, ya know.

Unfortunatly for them their T&Cs only apply before they have taken your money, after that point British trade law takes over and they're obliged to provide you what they contractually agreed to.

Wrong. After working in retail for years, the T&C will apply online regardless of how far the sale was attempted.

Trading law forcing the sale is for brick and mortar stores who advertise on the shelf a price, then if a customer attempts to purchase the product but the price was wrong (this applies to both undercharging and overcharging) they must sell it at the price advertised on the shelf.

Online law is different and the T&C are legally binding. It's a contract and it's up to the store to decide whether to sell it.

Apparently Consumer Direct and Trading Standards (having spoken with both now) dissagree with you there rh.

You can't force a retailer to sell to you at a lower price if they made a mistake and before money is taken they can refuse sale, but, in this case they've taken the money, which implies argeement of terms on their part and a contract is formed for sale at the price they offered, I can go through each individual step of it if you like.

There's something called the "reasonable man" rule in almost all courts worldwide that means that if a reasonable man should know that something is a mistake, it can legally be considered as such. If a gas station employee F-s up a sign and it reads $.32 a gallon instead of $3.2 a gallon you can't legally force him to sell you the gas at $.32 a gallon. If you clearly know it was a typo or fuck up, and if you posted it on this board you clearly do, even if they didn't have the admonition on the website regarding mistakes (that section 2.3) they wouldn't be required to sell you the shit at that price.

That being said, if you bought the thing and they shipped it they couldn't come back after you for more money after realizing it was a mistake.
