Alright, so I wanted to put some more stuff on my TI-89 Titanium graphing calculator. So I try and load TI connect and plug in the good ol' USB cable. Problem is now the USB cable is not recognized. So I unplug and replug along with scanning for new hardware. Here is where it gets weird. The computer recognizes the cable as not a USB, but as an IEEE 1394 compliant host controller. Needless to say it was odd. Whelp, I have tried and tried and tried to fix it to no avail.
Steps I have taken so far:
1) Reset my calculator
2) Uninstall both the USB cable and the software w/ restart and reinstalling
3) different USB cord
4) Different software
Also when I try and look for the calculator through TI connect it will give me no other option than Port 1 (wtf does that mean anyways?).
So, can you guys help before I snap the installation CD in half and throw my calculator across the room?
