Ok, it isn't working.

The manual says XGA (1024x768, 60Hz) is the max resolution of the plasma. Using windows to output at 1024x768 OR 800x600 to the plasma doesn't work...

I am stuck, please help!

get this, my 50" DLP has a native resolution of 1920x1080 but my comp wont run on that resolution either, i run at 1280x1024.

how are you connecting to the tv? my tv as a PC plug that supports a D=Sub cable, but ive ordered a dvi to hdmi cable to try and see if that changes anything, ive got a gt 7800 and my card only recongizes my tv as an analog display, not a tv, so the image doesnt fill the edges completely but hey its close enough, so i say just try different resolutions till you get a display, as check the tv menu for a pc sync option of some kind, my tv actually recognizes what resolution the pc wants to display...

i dont know just my own experience with this matter...

[EDIT] oh are you trying to do multiple displays? i didnt mess with that....[EDIT]

Your tv can display HD, yes, but it depends on input.

My plasma's Component can display 1080i/720p, but its D-Sub can only do 1152x864.

Worse still, when you use the computer's S-Video, it thinks its a shitty old tube, and only does 640x480. Need upgrade, srsly.

gah what about VGA. The manual says it can do 1024x768 and that is what it is set to...yet I still get "NO SIGNAL".

In this context VGA = D-Sub, soz.

Seems to be an issue going from DVI to VGA. Do you have a second converter?

Aah I see.

ATM I have my 22"  LCD going straight into the DVI port on the back, and the plasma going from a VGA cord to a VGA->DVI adapter plugged into the second output on my GTS.

So I have a second adapter, so if I have both the 22" and the plasma VGA, it might work?

I could probably charge a fleet of electric cars for what it costs to power that monstrosity for five minutes.

Well your Control Panel says its outputting, and the TV says No Signal, so its obviously a problem in the middle.

What I'd like to test is if that cable/plug/adapter is at fault, and you do that by swapping shit. Does your LCD have dual-inputs?

Yes.

Now I have a VGA connections to both the plasma and the PC. Both are going to the GTS via VGA->DVI adpaters.

No dice it seems.

The Control Panel obviously detects the thing, so is there any options you can change?

On the plasma side of things all you can do is set the input to VGA and hope for the best...

Did you get a breakout box with your video card mebe?

Whoa wha- where are you getting that from? Did I miss something because he didn't post anything saying the computer detects it. Though, that would be a good place. If the computer sees it and the screen works with another source (try that if you haven't, like using it as a TV may help determine the problem). If it does, invest in a new DVI/VGA converter and cable.

For the time being, just try getting the TV to work on it's own then worry about stacking something else on top of it.

The TV works fine, we have had it for almost a year now.

Yes the computer detects it. As "Analogue Display". Guess I could try S-Video.

That worries me, as it only detects that "something" is there but it doesn't know what it is.

Like seeing a creepy shape in the dark. It's either a cold person in a funky coat or an alien about to eat your face off. srsly.
