3 WAY ULTRA, its 4 gb of ram, its 2 x (2x1).

These are all HKD prices. no 30" due to 27" being less than 1/3 of the price and i think that 8800ultra x3 is a complete shitface waste of money. his max audio setup is 5.1, no watercooling. Maybe I could get a better/ lower wattage psu. 150g 10k in raid 0 and 500g's in another set of raid 0.
ultimate or home premium?

remarks:

3 x xfx 8800 ultra xxx in tri sli (buggy and fucking crap drivers) = 17000
2x xfx 8800gts 512mb xxx in sli (good drivers) = 5400

Any notes and suggestisons welcome, he is retardedly rich afterall. try to keep it below 50k HKD.

But the stacker 830/832 is the legendary enthusiast case. I cannot pass on that. Cosmos cost around the same anyway and we don't have a Thermaltake case retailer here, but we do have Lian Li though.

Looks good from here, it's a Thermalright cooler not Thermaltake What 12cm fan are you looking at getting? Silenx iExtrema Pro is the best I've seen, 90CFM @ 18db (might be 14db actually).

May as well go for Vista Ultimate over Home Premium, I see little point in the small saving given the rather gargantuan budget.

Monitor may blur a bit with a 6ms response time, 1000:1 CR isn't exactly amazing for the rather ridiculous price too, I'd go with something of better quality like one of the new Samsung range.

Antec 900 owns all for air flow BTW, that's an enthusiasts case, the stacker is a posers case.

Youre quite right but I see no reason in going for a mid-tower, with such a large setup, I think that I could use a Full Tower better. I myself have the 900 and I love it. Is there a better full tower case I can get.

And to Hell Head, 3 DVD writers is just something fancy I have 2 anyway, he can use 3.

I'm going to look into the Samsung range of monitors now.

Samsung's new 27" is out next month I think, I'm assuming he can wait a week or so for a monitor with triple the contrast ratio and about the same response time.EDIT: Apparently it's out already, it's on Amazon (odd for them to sell anything good lol) for £777GBP, not sure what that is in your money.

As for cases the 900 and stacker are the 2 best, 900 being my personal choice simply for it's better cooling, if you just want a full tower case you may as well stick with the stacker.

definately get a full tower for space and cleanliness reasons. you don't want to throw all that hardware into a case and not properly manage the cables. read the reviews on that case and cable management. Obviously you will need to buy 4 side fans seperately if your getting that case. i don't think i saw those on your list, it's hard for me to interpret. also, do you have only 2gb of ram written down or is that 4gb? Anything vista has to be an automatic 4gb in my book. especially when the pc version of assasins creed will use a minimum of 2gb and recommend 3gb! your psu looks like overkill, but hey, it will be future proof. other than that, if i had the $ i guess i'd be doing the same.

the stacker is and overpriced posers case, just my personal opinion ....apart from tht clearly gonna be an excellent rig as long as those gfx cards are the g92 variant

You will need like 4 2x2GB DDR3 for the memory, and a mobo that supports that. Right now the 790i isnt out so you wont be able to get DDR3 + Tri-SLI Get a Blu-Ray drive and monitor that supports that as well just for the penis enlargement. You could either get Tri SLI with the 8800Ultra superclocked or Quad SLI with 2 9800GX2s

there is one problem with your plan. You can't triple SLi the GTS cards ;D
And I would wait for the 9800GX2 and do a quad SLi with two of them.

(Took out the graphic card part because I don't know shit about graphic cards.)

And more importantly, lose the Raptor and get a Seagate Cheetah.
They offer some models that spin at over 15k. We use those for the high-performance RAID-Systems at work.
