I would guess that a majority of those who voted that there will be a difference would be Christian.
I suppose that majority would most likely say without God there is a void.
Thus, by that very same argument that many of them may believe in they are wrong in voting that choice as without Islam present something else would've taken its place and it's human nature to be in this present mess.

The only part Islam plays in terrorism is that it is a tool to turn despair and ignorance of impressionable people into a fighting weapon. "Look who is to blame for your troubles, your hunger, etc etc" is a common refrain amongst terror recruiters.
