First off.... it's not a good idea to complain to ATI for a game update that they had nothing to do with, on the day the update came out. If I were you I'd wait another day or so
Radeon drivers can be found here... I haven't tried yet but here is the link for the latest drivers

Go to ATI.com, click customer care at the top. Then support for radeon. On the top is a tag that says MY SUPPORT, click it. Click create a new account and enter all the information. From there you should be able to tell them what the problem is.
Oh and spearhead thats the main way they find out driver and hardware conflicts with their products. Don't feel like you are complaining just tell them what is wrong and do it in a civil manner.Ziggy_79x wrote:

do you think an Nvidia will have issues or just ATI
Updating the drivers won't work. I tried that, and it didn't do anything to improve my performance.

I see. Will do
So now whats going on? Like that one guy said, are we gonna wait five months for EA to make another patch?
will you guys post back here if it somehow works and tell the rest of us how you got it to work thanks in advance
im downloading the 6.2 ati radeon driver, i hope this works.
If this is indeed a problem with ATI, you can bet more people will post by tomorrow. Don't panic, just sit tight and see what people have to say.
No good news I'm afraid - reinstalled the entire game, downloaded patch again, patched game up to v1.12 - working fine as before. Applied v1.2, and yep, totally messed up, lag and no buildings. Looks like a new graphics card is the only solution...
HOKKIE DOKKIE
Did the same thing and no results , btw also did the upgrading on the radeon drivers didnt help either ...sigh...., guess i gotta get m a new vidcart pretty soon, now i only need to find some money to get me oneMeiktila wrote:

I have a NVIDIA GeFroce and i installed the new patch and everything works all fine and good like before.chase_mccloud wrote:

Ok, I have a few things for you guys to try.
1. Go into your bios and set your agp apature size to 128, if its at that already try 64, then 32 and so on.
2. Turn fast writes off in your ati options screen. Desktop right click, settings, advanced, smartgart (i think)I havent had an ati card in a while so I cant exactly remember. But I KNOW the option is there somewhere.
3. Try updating your motherboard drivers if you know how. Check the website of the brand your motherboard is and download the latest drivers. I know VIA and Nvidia are good about providing new drivers for their motherboards. If you don't know what I'm talking about skip this step.
4Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game using the full 300 something meg 1.2 patch. And download it from EA.
5. If nothing else has worked there are only 2 options left. Wait for ATI to release a new driver version with a fix for this problem (from the sound of it this is a pretty big and common problem I'm sure they will fix it eventually). Or upgrade your video card, there are a lot of good buys online for video cards and you can get one from bestbuy for a pretty good price. I mean something better than a 9200 anyway. I would wait a few days and check different forums to see how many people are having this problem and if it CAN be fixed before you go spend money on a new card though. Hope this helps.
Edit: Ok while i was typing I see someone tried reinstalling. Disregard no.4

I got the incremental and it works just fine. I have a nVidia GeForce 6800 GT
Yes, i have a 6800 gs and it's working fine too. This seems to be a problem with just the 9200 card so far.
So to all you Nvidia graphics card users reading this. THIS DOSEN'T APPLY TO YOU.

If you would have read the topics its not a problem with the nVidia but with the ATI radeon ones so dont post about the damn nVidia please, forgive me but i am totally frustrated here goddamn fucking bitch of an EA motherfuckers.Made me spend about 90 euro's and now i have a game that i can't play anymore cause it seems my card is not compatible anymore.I have like 88000 points and 800 hours of play but as it looks now its all been for nothing, i am so fucking pissed!!!!!!!!!!Havok wrote:
