BF2S Forums Question about these two graphics cards.

Gigabyte is a more respected brand than PoV. Thus they can ask higher prices

The first one is fanless, so much better for a media center pc. Other one will have a noisy fan.

You could also spend a little more and get an 8800GS. I mean sure as hell I advice you to get 8800GT/GTS 512 but yea you don't want to so it's either 8600GTS, 8800GS or ATi HD 3850 that's within your price/performance range.

Meh overclockers doesn't have a 8800GS, the ati one xGj mentioned is too much for me. Gonna order my card and psu now! I'll probably tire of games in the future I also need to spend my student loan on other things .

Ok it's £20 more. They used to have an OcUk version for like £90 though, those cards are so much faster than the 8600 series.

I don't get it though the core clock speed and memory speed is lower are ati's powerful in a different way?

How do I cancel my order was looking at it before but dunno how to is it too late now? I ordered it like 7:30pm so I doubt its been dispatched or anything. Looked at the order again don't think there is a way .

Ok just emailed Overclockers should be ok hopefully, was 20 quid more but hella lot more performance.
