MOAB, I was wondering the same thing... I know standard issue is with the suede boot, but I sure hope they are still learning the basics of the uniform, to include shining 'em.

BTW, I still wear my "new" sued boots, i love em, too!

Old t-shirts or cloth diapers are the best polishing rags. Also, two pairs is the way to go. Keep one for inspections and one for formations. Keep your inspection dogs in cloth bags and KEEP SHOEHORNS in them, no matter how much of a pain in the ass they are to get in and out. If you use any strange shit you are risking screwing yourself if you only have one pair. You'd hate to jack a pair up the night before a walk-through and not have a second pair. Experiments are fine 3 days ahead of time, not the night before...
