The best and only advice you need, is to never skip tutorials. Your lecture material will always be given to you over the web so you can access it all at home if needed, and they usually only briefly go over your textbook material anyway. But turoails = easy marks and advice for a tutor who has done your course before.
Unless your going to Western Sydney University, you've also got a good chance of having English speaking lecturers and class mates.
