I don't know about everyone else, but I occasionally look at the stats of other players.  I went to BF2Player.com and searched by best round score......how the hell do you get a best round score of 5,379 (Bullcedes) on Dalian Plant?  I guess I must really suck if my best round is only a little over 110.  I could see getting a couple of hundred (200-300) if you played on a large map with 16 players, so that it would be a really long game, but I don't see how you could get over 300.  I know that some people cheat, but I had no clue that there could be that many.  It is a game.....not real life.  I play the game for fun, not for the shinny badges....hell I don't need no stinkin badges!  Everyone take my advice.....play for fun, you will get more out of the game that way!  If you are cheating (hacks, stat padding, ect.)....stop, you are ruining it for those of us who don't.

Roger that!

Seriously though i hear ya dude.  Cheating's no fun anyway, sure you might get high scores but do you look at your medals / stats and think "Yeah I EARNED that! Took me friggin ages too..."
The answer is ofcourse - NO
I reckon the cheaters must live in the game, trying to impress people with their stupidly high scores - 5,379 points on Dalian Plant? I highly f**king doubt it!!

my best round score ever was 246 in karkand... some people used to get 500+ points in a blackhawk when bf2 first came out. But anything in the thousands is definetly padded.

There is a commander bug.  Do a search on it.  I doubt he was actually cheating.  looks pretty legit to me.

You have to be kidding me.....search any map and there are plenty of people with best round scores in excess of 500.   Knowing the EA Nazis they would have fixed this bug and altered those stats.....also...if you kill someone 50 some odd times, it would lead me to believe that you are cheating.

I got 251 points once.... that was on a server than ran a 64 player map with 16 players... the game took 90-100 minutes... BUT: for the first 60 minutes, it was a 4vs4 with 4 players spawning on their side and only 3 spawning on our side while one of us did basically squat... that was 60 minutes driving around in one tank and one apc, killing the opponent (who did not take his tanks out of whatever reason) and capping flags back and forth.... I was thinking about leaving already when I suddenly got my Armored Transport Specialist ribbon which I did not want to forsake at that point. Turned to a pretty good game after the server was full though.

However.... 5379 points is definitely a case of heaviest statpadding. If that game I was in would have continued as it had started, it would have lasted for about 3-4 hours... that would have multiplied my score but at that point I would have quit long before, ribbon or not.

One of many threads dealing with the Commander bug. I don't care how hard you pad making 5000+ points in a round is surely impossible, I'd go with the folks claiming he's been commander buggered for that score...

Still think that even if there is a bug that EA would have done something about it, and that everyone with a BRS of over 300 cheats!

what about the bugs that have been in the game since release, that are still in it? (i.e. red/blue?) in fact, i think there is a thread in here somewhere a guy posted a response he got from EA about it, where they admit its existence. there is definitely a bug that does weird things to commander scores. it's happened to a few people that frequent this site.
