I am really get sick and tired of nobody defending flags after the capture, or before for that matter.  We all know there is a radius around the flag you need to be in so you can take the flag.  I wish there was a radius around the flag that would require at least one person to be in at all times in order for people to be able to spawn there.
The flag would still belong to the team, but they would not be able to spawn unless somebody was near it.  I realize this would be hard to do on small servers, but for servers that are 64 and are always full, I just think it is a good idea.

yeah, i'll pay that. it would lead to far more interesting assault and defence situations, rather than the race-for-the-corner-flag that rounds sometimes turn into

I would love to see a 1 flag map.

Your team's job is either to defend it or attack it. The defending team would spawn near the flag while the attacking team could spawn at any of several random spawn points. Also, the defending team would be required to stay within a certain area. Every 2 or 3 rounds the teams would switch rolls. The defending team, being in a fixed location, would have extra artillary, multiple sets for multiple targets,  and fixed guns while the attackers would have choppers and extra vehicles.

This could be enhanced in several ways but the point of it is to create a position that must be defended.

Very nice idea usmarine!  Just one adjustment: You would'nt have to do this for flags that can't be capped.

I just wish EA/Dice would implement the Supply Lines game mode that they originally intended. My understanding is that it would be a lot like the Onslaught mode from Unreal Tournament 2004. Basically each team attempts to destroy the enemy's main base, by conquering a series of flags, in a connect-the-dots fashion.

I never played that game, but that sounds like a good idea.

Good idea also.
