I just used that utility to reset a friends vista laptop... works great... just follow the steps... very good tool...

i tried the cd and it didnt work for me

im gonna try the floppy now, but im sort of confused on the drivers it says it needs on the web page

you have to make sure the cd has the proper drivers to support ide or sata.  it needs the basic drivers in order to mount the file system from the cd.  if you know what kind of hard drive you have, you can download the drivers from the manuf. web site, and copy them to a floppy disk.  this way the cd can use the drivers on the floppy for your hard drive...

You need to use a Linux boot disk. It's very easy. Takes about 2 mins.

Found it, I have a copy but you should be able to find one out there somewhere. Its the best program I have found to do stuff like that.
