Anyway, I'm not sure who the woman in the parachute was but something tells me this time Ben is telling the truth and that a massacre or something is going to happen. Which is why Jack is all wierd and an alcoholic at the end.

My guess as to the Oceanic 6:
1. Jack
2. Kate
3. Hurley
4. Claire
5. Aaron
6. Sawyer

I don't think Sun would leave without Jin, and same for Rose+Bernard. Although the writers could say otherwise... so... but for some reason I think Sawyer is the 6th... and that he'll spearhead the movement to go back to the island whenever that happens.

I think the flash forward at the end of last season was further in the future than the flash forward at the beginning of this one.

I don't think so because in the mess he was at the end of last season, he says "bring my father in here, and if he is drunker than i am you can fire me"  but in the new flash forwards, his father is dead.  OR was his father dead at the end of last season, and he is just a drunk idiot talking?

The flashforward in episode 1 of Season 4 occured before Jacks flashforward in the season 3 finale. 

Jack : "I'm thinking of growing a beard......."

In Through the looking glass he was probably so fucked up he was talking as though his father was alive... I read an interview where Mathew Fox says that's what he thinks, anyway.

Unless somehow Jacks father made it off the island?  We saw Christian Shephard in Jacobs cabin in 4.01.... and, in the last "Missing Pieces", we saw that Christian Shephard told Vincent to go find Jack in the bamboo jungle in the pilot episode.

See, I think that's what he meant to say. His father obviously can't be more drunk than him because he's dead.

yeh his father died before the crash, coz he was transporting him in his coffin to wherever the plane was heading. just he saw illusions of his father on the island. because didn't sawyer or someone kill him?
