Subject says it all.

What I would like to know is if i can access a shared folder by typing in its internal IP address.

I have a link in my router setting which says, Access Shared Folder, and takes me to the internal IP of the computers address.

Example:  My computers internal address is 192.168.1.2, when i clink the link, it opens a new tab with the address, 192.168.1.2.

Problem is it tells me 404 not found.

Any tips!

THANKS!

Idk either but I remember setting up a Home network connection with my other computer and being able to access folders through My network places.

or go into my computer and type this in the address bar:  \\192.168.1.2
Then you will access your computer or what ever computer you have
