Is it just me or should the requirements for Brig and Major General backwards? I'm Lt Col but already have all my expert requirements for Major General according to UBAR. But Expert vehicles? I might be a ground pounder and not really use vehicles, but just doing quick math thats over 500 hours of game play from vetern to expert on all of those badges. It would seem that is a harder thing to acheive and would be associated with the higher rank. Granted I have a personal liking for the idea of being able to obtain Brig Gen with my current badges since it took a lot of work just to get them! I'm all for having to work for rank requirements, it just seems backwards to have that high of a requirement on the lower rank. If you already have that many hours played for all your expert vehicle badges, chances are you are already going to have all the weapon classes in gold with that many extra hours of game play. So it's a free rank upgrade at that point from Colonel to Major General... so realistically the Brig. Gen is a pointless rank.

Now let's be realistic, for the ammount of hours needed to be played to achieve all those gold vehicle badges and weapon classes, your points are obviously going to be pretty high by most standards. That being said, chances are you probably have over 200,000 points. So with the idea that all your weapon classes are the easier to get and will be done, once you get all your vehicle experts you will suddenly be jumped automatically to Lt. General since it's pretty well said that you will have the point requirements already. Hell look at the leaderboards and look at peoples badges who are around the 200k mark.

It all just seems to be arranged backwards, so not only is the brig gen pointless, the major general rank is also going to be pointless and not obtained by many if at all.

good point saying that Brig Gen is effectively a pointless rank.
if you're an expert at all the vehicles + ground/air defense surely you will have surpasses the point requirements for major general and have all of your infantry expert badges as well.

I think the ranks are TOTALLY stupid now. WTF were they thinking? Why would they make them so incredibly easy (minus the brigadier general)? I think they should have left them the same, with well over a million points for generals. In like 5 months, the ranking system will be obsolete to almost everyone, except for new comers. You'll never earn another thing after that.

The gap between enlisted and officer was fine, do you think that becoming an officer IRL is easy?

But whatever, that's EA for ya. Brainless wonders.
