*prays this hasn't already been asked*

Anyone ever gotten a problem where BF2 crashes you to desktop, but totally screws up your graphics? A few times now it's chucked me back to a 640x480, 16 colour, 60Hz version of my desktop. I have to reboot to get back to normal resolution.

I'm guessing it's a conflict with the nVidia drivers, possibly because I run in dual-monitor mode (handy being able to keep an eye on IRC/MSN showing while you're playing a game ).

Anyone got any ideas on what's causing this and how to fix it? TIA.

System specs:

Windows XP SP2
AMD Athlon64 3000+ (Venice)
1GB Crucial DDR400
Gigabyte K8NF Ultra-9 (nForce4)
XFX GeForce 6600 PCIe 256MB
Two 17" monitors running at 1024x768

It's something to do with the nVidia 6000 line and running out of memory on the video card.  My roommate has the exact same problem with his 6800 and CIV IV.  I know this isn't a solution (sorry), but maybe a place to start?

Sounds about right. Glad to know it's not just my card that's FUBAR.

Guess it's just a case of waiting for a new ForceWare release :-/

Cheers guys.
