Yeah, finding good sources is the hardest (and best) thing about writing accurate stories.  If you live near a military base, or work in the more "historical" segment you will probably be a lot better prepared.

Another thing, try to find primary sources.  Get info from people who have BTDT.  If you want to make an accurate Vietnam fighter-pilot story, find a vietnam fighter vet or read what they had to say.
