anyone here getting this problem??

i shoot the nade luancher at my feet ( i thought it would bounce off) but instead it BLEW UP arn't they supposed to BOUNCE???
WTF is WRONG
next i see a vodnick coming at full speed i fire offf a nade and the vod was about 20m away and the nade BOUNCED off the car and flew like a roket and the building .
so wy is it that i can shoot it at my feet and it will blow
but it wont blow if i shoot it 20m away??

haha wtf?! I noticed the same thing with the ground explosion but didn't know that it would bounce off vehicles, DICE apparently converted the noobtube into a noobtube

Does it bounce off people also? I'd like to know...

to avoid the bounce I guess you just have to aim on the ground near the victim and it works like before

I've done the same thing. I noticed the bouncing grenades very seldomly, but I've also blown away someone 5 feet away with no problem, just as you could before the patch.

When the patch first arrived, a friend asked me to shoot the ground to see the bounce (I was also sort of interested). I fired my grenade launcher straight down, and wouldnt you know it it blew me up. I expected it to at least bounce into the air and THEN blow me up.

Because it bounces off the ground and then hits you, which makes it blow up.

Personally, I think they should have made the arming distance further.. I was dissappointed.

i got shot on karkand today from about arms length away with gl. i think they fucked it and if you are too close the timer doesnt work.

I don't think it bounces at all, when aimed directly at the ground like that. I shot it at the ground, and it just delayed then blew up, like it got stuck into the ground, and after the timer went off it exploded.

Yeah, seems like some idiot forgot to include ricochet calculations from the ground.  Noob-tubing is alive and well.

If it doesn't hit the ground, it should arm 0.3 seconds after firing (according to the weapon files).
Also, it no longer does damage on hitting something, only by exploding.  It used to do 125 damage on hitting, then a 150 damage explosion, but now it's just the explosion.

I'm not so sure. I was playing fushe pass last night for a round. I came to a flag that had 4 guys standing around the flag. I took aim and launched the GL from about 50 yards away. As soon as I shot it I watched in dissapointment as my death egg bounced off of a pole 10 feet in front of me and blew up when it hit a wall a few feet to the right of my origional position.

Needless to say, I didn't get the 4 kills I was looking for...

hahahaha, wtf*2. the GL doesn't work at all. Atleast at that distance it should be normal. So noobtube is alive and the main purpose usage with distance is substituted with an boomeranging dead egg.

Yeah, they forgot to make it bounce off the ground. If you shoot it at the ground, it will just roll forward and explode soon after. Noob tubing didn't die.

Off of walls and other objects, yes, but not the ground. It won't bounce off of the ground no matter where you shoot it from.

havnt gotten noobtubed at all today

but im pretty sure its got to do with angles, if you shoot it at a sharp angle eg. strait infront or strait down, even up and let it fall, i think it explodes on impact, however if you shoot at a softer angle, eg at a wall practically facing the same way as you it will bounce off. i think its got more of a skim effect then a bounce.

I dont see that it bounces somehow, but what I do see is that now ppl use GL only if they're higher that their opponent. Played a couple of rounds on Karkand and was hit by GL about 3 times.  But it wasnt like from 3 feet away. Also I saw ppl were blowing themselves up with it. That was funny, maybe they didnt realise that you cant jump and shoot? I think EA did a good job... but AA?

They destroyed the noob toob, not with the timer, but by reducing its splash damage and adding a weird delay after you shoot the thing. Every time you shoot it it feels like you have super high ping becuase the thing launches a split second after you press fire, totally messed up, and the smoke graphic ocassionally looks like a giant X. I am glad you cant use it super close range now but why did they have to mess up its medium and long range capabilities? There are now VERY FEW situations where the grenade launcher is useful.

Dunno about you guys, but experimented with launching againts walls in Karkand as you go down the hill towards the train, taking the rear approach near the OUT of limit.

Launched against wall between buildings hoping for a bounce towards the front of small alley - NOPE - instant blow up on the wall where it hit - that is from say 50 yards away. Never bounced just blew on contact - tried 4 times in a row always same results?

Wondering if this thing really does bounce - more testing to be done but sure does not bounce all the time when shot against wall.

They should have not changed the weapons other setting & simply increased its arming distance, now its just too unreliable & random to be an effective combat weapon too an assault rifle.
