Making an analog stereo amp mono w/o making the whole system mono?

I've got a stereo amplifier for my sub here, but it's only one sub, and having it plugged into one channel forces me to shut it off whiles gaming and/or doing other stereo stuff, except from music.

So, what's the easiest way to make it output mono, from a stereo input? Should I just plug the two outlets togheter somehow, or maybe some internal changes? Anyone got an idea?

I've tried with a stereo to mono cable, but that would turn the whole system mono.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

That gives me left channel audio. That's how I have it now, and that's the problem.

That wont make it mono. Can you post a pic of the backpanel of your amp?

Tuner, Tape and AUX are normal line-ins. Phono is for those low-signal devices.

Do your stereo speakers have this option to connect additional speakers to them? If so connect your sub to them.

I run two independent, rather ancient amps from the middle of the 90's.

Both are stereo.
Both have two channels and no center channel.
The sub amp is connected to the AUX bridge on the primary amp.
The AUX bridge is just splitting the signal in two, with no circuits in between.
I want amp 1 to remain stereo, whiles amp 2 is mono.
Just one channel won't do, that's my current setup, and I want sound from both channels on amp 2.
Plugging a cable that makes two AUX connectors to one makes the whole system mono.
I'm thinking of letting both L and R channels into the amp 2, and connecting the output to the speakers to one speaker. You think that'd work?
