I'd recomend getting a DS with an R4 cartridge (really cool thing that allows you to drag and drop media from your pc onto a micro SD card which you can then put into the R4 card which slots into the DS, this lets you watch films/porn, listen to music play illegally aquired games etc... basically everything the PSP does but alot cheaper and with a much better battery life.) Although you can generally only get the R4's online simply as shops are to scared of getting sued to stock them.

I have both, and the DS is better.
Cheaper, smaller, longer batteries, more and (mostly) better games.
