They got rid of negative karmaz

Personally, I don't use Ebay. But, without negative feedback. It's gonna be alot easier for the scammers and the PS3 (box) sellers.

Now its gonna be easier to sell myself for £350 and £50 postage and then do it again

You could get around this by simply putting a bad comment in the +1 box, like some people do

No, it's only removing the option for sellers to leave negative comments on buyers. That's a good thing.

Usually the buyer will say how they were ripped off, only for the seller to leave a pointless negative comment which never gets read anyway. If your selling an item you don't look at your buyers feedback. They more than likely have already sent a paypal payment.

Plus in many case, a seller would ship something late, not ship and item at all, etc... the buyer would want to leave negative feedback but doesn't because of a negative feedback from the seller as retaliation.  Also, it protects the buyer because once the buyer pays the ball is in the sellers court to ship the item.  If a buyer doesn't pay for an item, the seller doesn't ship and no harm is done.  The seller can just report this to eBay and with enough violations, the buyer is remove.  No need for the seller to leave negative feedback for a buyer.

This sucks, this is often how my dad retaliated upon the rare douche bags that give him negative ratings for a bad reason.

ive not had any problems with bad sellers etc, but i would feel abit apprehensive about giving negative feedback in case they retaliated unfairly, as i would have paid straight away and given good communication etc...

It's not a really big deal. If you're selling, make sure you send it out the next day, and in the condition that it was listed as. I have 170 ebay transactions with 100% feedback, and the only issue I have ever had was a nonpaying bidder once.

The real problem lies with paypal disputes after the transaction. Which fortunately, I have not had to deal with.

Ebay needs to have a negative options list at least. Now I will probable never buy from ebay again.

About time! When a customer leaves negative feedback, the seller will almost always leave un-legitimate negative feedback back, thus ruining the other's person's feedback.

+1, eBay.

I've always thought they should only have had the ability to leave negative feedback untill you've paid.... if you pay by PayPal they know youve paid up and the full amount so the seller should loose the right to give you negative feedback.
