So the Bose Comp 5 are probs the best choice then.
I would say so, and you can probably sell your X-Fi too
If I really don't need it I will RMA it...TheEternalPessimist wrote:

the companion 3 and companion 5...both have there own built in sound engine/processor inside...they input through usb and re-engineer ur sound...so regardless of ur sound card ....with bose it dont mean shit ....theyre pricey yer ...but quality ...was checkin out these today as im very interested in them ...listened to em in my local hmv ...and man ......theyre awesome..
people say ahh theyre only 2.1 theyre shit ....but the sound surrounds u because of the "acoustamass" module that the speakers have ...so effectively sounds like 7.1 ....they produce perfect quality on full wack sound and best of all theyre tiny .....no space taken up with huge sub woofers etc (something which has put me off the z-5500's regardless of there excellent reviews )..think ill be puchasing some of these soon...ill most likely get the companion 3 set..to save on cost cus they are quite pricey.

thts the best example of their power an sound quality ...but seriousli pop down to ur local comet or currys ...most have a set out
good luck and get back to me if u buy them
theyre beautiful looking and quite small ..in comparison to their competition

I might buy them myself as I'm sick and tired of waiting for the Razer Mako speakers to come out (just want them coz they're pretty lol), currently using some 'creatively' wired Aiwa speakers and a Cambridge Soundworks sub which, while sounding lovely has 2 volume settings, 'loud' and 'fucking jesus my ears don't work any more'.
anyone got anythin to say bout the companions ...anyone own a set?
