So I was using this mod for Crysis that improves performance, and I changed the stuff around, went to save it and.....it says Im not administrator. I got to start, and it tells me that I am adminstrator.

Heres the message I get:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game\Config\autoexec.cfg
You do not have permission to save in this location
Contact the Administrator to obtain permission.

Would you like to save in the (my name) folder instead?"

Try logging into the actual Administrator account, perhaps?

This is the only one. I had another one, was getting same problem, so I created this one. It let me save files for about 5 min, then this problem came up. I deleted past account.

right-click "my computer", click manage, and open the "local users and groups" folder.  on the right side, double click groups, and double click the "administrators" group.  make sure the user name you log on to your computer with is listed here.

With Vista right click the program icon and go into the properties and check you have run as adminisrtator on.
There is another way to get Vista to do this with all you're programs i belive but i can remember sorry!

Make sure you have disabled guest account logins. If there's only one login, it will be as admin.

If all else fails, go here. It will reset all registry AND file permissions errors. Guaranteed.

Cant do that for awhile. My Keyboard is pluged into a USB port so until I get a connector that changes it from USB to PS/2 then I can do any of those things. Keyboard is not active until windows is fully up and running.

USB-->PS2 adapter only works with mice.

Hmm, Seems I have the same problem here..
I can't start photoshop and vegas 7.0...
Need vegas for school in a few weeks,
Does this have something to do with some sort of .NET program windows runs?
It says that im not the admin at photoshop, and cant install vegas 7.0 cuz it cannot install something with internet explorer or something...

You could try enabling UAC (if it's not enabled already) and then putting the file in (you can disable afterwards) other than that, I dont know why it blocks the cfg.. Its only my autoexec Anyway, if it won't work after trying these solutions just wait for my installer to come

I've done some research, and the install off .NET 2.0 has something to do with it?

Anyone?
