NOD32 is great
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
AVG. Free and easy. Haven't had any viruses yet... but then again, I'm not a massive pornaholic, so I don't do anything stupid that could jeopardize my system anyway.
Nod32

15 more years! 15 more years!
F-PROT FTW!
If it can protect thousands of servers at the data center that I work for, then it will be fine for personal use.

I have 2 gigs and it doubled my times. It raped my BF2 ping (once I removed norton my ping went way down) and it even made looking at pictures/ shit like that on my hard drive go much slower.JetSniper wrote:

I have Nod32
I had Norton, it's the devil. Don't use it.
I have Trend Micro Pc-cillin Internet Security (paid for it), love it. No problems. Still eats some processing power, but less than the gluttonous Norton.
Personally, I'd rather pay and know I'm safer then get a free one and hope it works.

Find and clean your viruses manually, it's more fun.
If I had to choose one though, AVG Free is excellent and I prefer it to the poorly written pay versions that end up expiring after a year and don't update their definitions until after you've already been infected. I have seen a ridiculous amount of things get past Norton and Mcafee.

Symantec Corporate (not the same as norton)
AVG is the best, and it doesn't clog resources at all.
Kaspersky Internet Security
Norton, never had a problem with it.
I used to use AVG or McAfee.
Recently switched to Windows One Care and I'm happy with it.
Best Buy has it on sale for $19 every couple months.

I dont use anything. No virus' in 2 years (And yes, I downloaded AVG to prove my point a month ago, not a single virus)
Srsly, you just need to use your intuition and you don't need an AV.

Common sense.
I use Avast.
PS: Norton and McAffee blow horse dick. Their bloated. They have ineffective firewalls. Their scans find everything but the virus.
