Onboard integrated graphics and audio with an onboard HDMI connection that can give me 1080p via Blu-ray and HD-DVD? Yes please.

But what kind of hardware (PSU, CPU, RAM) do you think you would need to make it play in 1080p?

E6600 with 1-2GB RAM?

If so, HTPC's just got a whole lot cheaper

A blu-ray player doesn't have much under it so I doubt you need a lot.

Intel GMA Integrated Graphics is always problematic for contemporary games, but should be fine for other applications and older games.

I wouldn't see why not?

It supports quad screen (!), btw, so it has 4x VGA ports, and comes with an HDMI to DVI converter if you want to use that.

btw,

that mobo looks win for a HTPC. A E6600 should easily run 1080p movies.

No, just pointing out the irony of them calling DDR2 "next generation memory", when it's been around for three years, and DDR3 is around now as the next generation memory..

It's running a pre-rendered image at 1920x1080. That's high, but you don't even need hardware like that to do it.

Although considering it's integrated graphics you may have a point. Benchmarks will help with that, hard to say in theory.

You'd have to swap everytime you booted up between integrated and the 7900 i think, not sure though.
